Members Cranky_San Posted November 12, 2003 Members Posted November 12, 2003 who's nuno?anyway, bout string skipping, it's usually about playing a couple of notes on 1 string and then switching to the other strings. if you want to play it fast try here and go under master class - alternate picking. the gif file which are in tabs are in notes as well.hope that helps.
Members Triton Posted November 12, 2003 Members Posted November 12, 2003 Hey justmeagain. Reading tab is SO easy. You will learn it in a few days and it sure is worth it because that is how most information on the net is presented to guitar players. Here's an article to get you started with string-skipping.http://www.ibreathemusic.com/play/article/102
Members justmeagain Posted November 12, 2003 Author Members Posted November 12, 2003 Thanks for the help- I look at Tab...and Im like??? Fingers go where? what frets???? ect.... I was looking for the style of nuno bettencourt (string skiping that is) Thanks again for the help everyone:)
Members Little Dreamer Posted November 13, 2003 Members Posted November 13, 2003 Just learn some scales - go here http://www.guitar.com/cda/Learning/tool_display.aspx?sPath=81810000770a000000010000794300000000for a scale generator. Then practice playing a couple of notes on one string and skipping to a non-adjascent string. To do it in the style of Nuno, do it like Nuno. For tab, the number is the fret, the lines are the strings. Lowest line is lowest string, highest is highest. Takes a bit to get used to it, but doesn't everything?
