Members Terje Posted June 7, 2004 Members Posted June 7, 2004 I mean, it sounds bad so for that reason it is a bad thing. But in fact it might be much better to let it crack than to force it not to. Let's say you're singing a little high and your voice cracks. You can use the muscles of your throat to force it not to crack. A lot of times we do that, because we're ashamed when the voice cracks. Eventually this can leadto all sorts of pain. So let your voice crack, don't let it bother you. Note however why it cracked and do something about it the next time you sing. Like for instance, sing that tune in a lower key, or see to it that you have more air supporting the note the next time.
