Members Little Dreamer Posted July 13, 2004 Members Posted July 13, 2004 I'm the same way. I like to collect things. I'm just looking through my stuff, and there's over 20 theory / instructional books (and I still don't know what I'm talking about). I couldn't begin to count the transcription stuff, I've got a good decade's worth of Guitar For The Practicing Musician magazine, and probably a couple dozen tab songbooks. And half a dozen CD-ROM's. Several hundred power tabs I've downloaded. And a dozen casette tape instructional things. Nothing on 8-track though, I'm not that old. Well, there are some out in the garage, but nothing instructional for guitar. It's funny - real information overload. That's why I picked one book and I'm going through it really thoroughly. The author can put in one sentence that makes for a week's work. But it's well worth it to explore the idea. I remember when I started playing, somebody gave me 10,656 Guitar Licks or something like that. If I only had the stuff that's available today.
Members windmill Posted July 14, 2004 Members Posted July 14, 2004 about a dozen, I keep looking at new ones but I realise that I haven't worked through the ones I already have. Guitar mags is another story.......
