Members Deek Posted October 10, 2004 Members Posted October 10, 2004 I am looking for a FREE downloadable program to slow down songs in order to transcribe music off of CD's. Are there any out there?
Poparad Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 Winamp + Pacemaker plugin. Both at winamp.com. (You might have to encode cds to mp3 first for it to work)
Members Triton Posted October 10, 2004 Members Posted October 10, 2004 Amazing Slow Downer is a really good program for this purpose. It isn't free but it sure is worth the money if you're going to do a lot of transcribing. You can try it out for free though.http://www.ronimusic.com/

The new version of Winamp might do it, but I use another free program called CDex. Another good program that I use to convert between file formats is dbPowerAmp. I believe there's a plugin for that for making audio files out of cds.
Members Rocinante Posted October 14, 2004 Members Posted October 14, 2004 Transcribe. You can change the speed and/or the pitch. It also has a record function and file splitter (I used this to record all my old vinyl LPs).
