Has anyone worked through any of Ted's books? I've read Chord Chemistry cover to cover but haven't started on the Modern Chord Progressions or the 2 Single note books.

Any one have exerience and opinions on these. I have them but haven't put the time in on them yet.

Thanks!

I've spent many years and hours on those two books and will probably spend many more. But not all at once...I realized my brain wasn't ready for much of the info at one point, so I took a break and studied other books for awhile. Years later (earlier this year, actually) I picked a page of I-iii-IV-V progressions and practiced all of them for a few months. It was cool...I actually understood how the chords worked and why they connected so well. Even Ted admits the books are meant as more of an ongoing reference, not a method.

He's supposed to be coming out with some new books soon.

I have the azz Guitar vol 1+ 2and Chord chemistry books, and they are absolutely amazing, esp. the latter. The information is pretty dense, and I've found that I have to take a little in at a time, and really get the concepts into my playing, before going on. So I keep coming back to these books
