Members boldo Posted January 22, 2005 Members Posted January 22, 2005 Hi everyone. Well I own this "up all night" cd from Scofield, and I'm really impressed by Avi Bortnick's rhytm playing. And I'm even more shocked whem I happen to see some kind of video with the guy demonstrating his technique...I'm speaking of his right/left hand coordination of course, but also of the crazy patterns made of two/three note chord bits he seems to be able to improvise on the fly while playing either vamps or more complex progressions (and he never sounds like he hits a bad note or interval. He does it while being coherent with the bass line). Well, apart from the "practice, practice, practice" advice, do you have any specific ideas that will help in getting even close to that?
