Members Force Posted March 6, 2005 Members Posted March 6, 2005 The intervals of a major triad (1-3-5) are a major third from 1 to 3 and a minor third from 3 to 5. A minor triad (1-b3-5) has a minor third from 1 to b3 and a major third from b3 to 5.
Poparad Posted March 6, 2005 Posted March 6, 2005 In addition, the interval between 1-5 in both major and minor are perfect 5th.For diminished triads (R-b3-b5), R-b3 is a minor third, b3-b5 is a minor third. Root to b5 is a diminished 5th.For an augmented triad (R-3-#5), R-3 is a major third, 3-#5 is a major third, and R-#5 is an augmented fifth.
