Members Ramm Posted November 5, 2005 Members Posted November 5, 2005 Hey all - Has anyone heard of an all in one type of guitar practice/recorder unit? I'm kinda of looking for something along the lines of.. you can use the unit to plug in an audio source like a mp3 player and slow down a song without changing the pitch plus the unit also has a digital recorder built-in. Thanks in advance. Chris

Members Vertical Posted November 6, 2005 Members Posted November 6, 2005 Hi, Just to further your decision making process, I had a disk crash on my puter, and they sent me the required codes to get my purchased software package going again, nice helpful and supportive of their software. There was an issue where I was having trouble importing songs into the transkriber, and they sent me this converter link to use in conjunction with the transkriber software http://www.etalonsoft.com/index.html Converter was free. I like the slow down mode that does not change pitches, it has helped me find good fingerings for passages. Since I am a lefty and play by ear, most useful for me...
Members Ramm Posted November 6, 2005 Author Members Posted November 6, 2005 I like the fact that you can import mp3's with the 2.0 version. I was also looking at the Tascam guitar trainer but you can't import mp3's So the music that I purchased digitally I would have to burn to disc to use it in the guitar trainer.I was looking at the owners manual for Transkriber but I don't see the option to record your guitar track This would be awesome if it worked with an input card on your PC so you can record your progress.Have you ever messed with a Line6 GuitarPort 2.0 before?
Members Vertical Posted November 6, 2005 Members Posted November 6, 2005 Nope i am a technically challenged musical tekke... I just have never taken the time to EVER record anything digitally. I believe that with all this modern stuff now, that you should be able to record into even a wav file from windows ...somehow...
