Members edeltorus Posted August 13, 2006 Members Posted August 13, 2006 The Lesson Loft is not was it was two years ago... To much spam.. "I'm such a cool guy" posts have been ignored all the time. We've even survived the endless "the standard-notation method sucks, I've invented the Ozzz method, and I won't stop talking about" time. But things have changed. It's not as it was before, and for some reason I don't like this.. Where is the creativity? The spirtit to help out others? The *good* posts *with* content? the hard core theory threads? This was the stuff that seperated us from the open jam. I'm not sure if I'll keep logging on and taking a look at the threads anymore. At the moment it's just a waste of time. Inspiration is nil. Boredom instead. Nils
Members joenovice Posted August 13, 2006 Members Posted August 13, 2006 I admit that I have felt the same recently. That's why I haven't been as active over the past few months. It basically boils down to a few members who spread their negativity or self-centeredness in abundance. There are still a few good members here but the good post are a minority and "trash posts" are in abundance. All good things must come to an end..... This is Joe signing off. Good luck and good-bye.
Members bardsley Posted August 14, 2006 Members Posted August 14, 2006 Everything goes through phases, but you can't expect the same people to keep responding to the same questions for ever. Eventually, the best stuff on a forum like this is found by searching past posts, as everything's been said already. That said, I think the feeling that something like this has gotten old has more to do with us. That is, once you've hung out a forum for a couple of years, it loses the vibe for you, as you start seeing the same old stuff (that used to be new) come up.
Members Virgman Posted August 14, 2006 Members Posted August 14, 2006 There has been new folks here lately. It's been rather slow here for awhile but now there is some new blood. You guys are oldtimers but why not start a thread about something that interests you?Just so long as it's not "How do modes work?"
Members [trapped!!] Posted August 14, 2006 Members Posted August 14, 2006 i like the loft and i dont think it's full of "i am cool" posts. some threads have useless content, but i think it's just a way for forumites to unwind on their own forum with their own crowd instead of moving to another forum. these threads are just threads. there are other useful ones for people who prefer to stick to the learning aspect. i think the forum is useful, but i really dont know how it used to be. if u think it can be better, help us out! i'm sure the forumites wud appreciate more hardcore learning.
