Members Fatbaby Posted August 27, 2006 Members Posted August 27, 2006 I don't think they're very complicated. Open G is used in 'shine on..' if I remember correcty. Do some searches, there are loads of Gilmour guitarhead websites out there. good luck
Members MRscratch Posted August 27, 2006 Author Members Posted August 27, 2006 yeah thats what i thought. i got my lap in open g now. mind you, it dont sound like gilmour!!
Members Fatbaby Posted August 28, 2006 Members Posted August 28, 2006 If you can get your hands on it, then the David gilmour live dvd is excellent viewing. He does 'Shine on' and 'high hopes' and there are many great shots of his lapsteel playing in both songs. There's an extra in the menu that also shows only his hands close for most of the famous solos too. It's called 'David Gilmour in concert'. Recommended!
