Members Virgman Posted November 14, 2006 Members Posted November 14, 2006 http://jazz-primer.com/Subs-Level-One.html Careful! There are a few typos. But otherwise an excellent resource.
Members gennation Posted November 14, 2006 Members Posted November 14, 2006 Here's a Mimi Fox video lesson on all kinds of great jazz ryhthm and more... http://www.guitarplayertv.com On the list to the left select, Truefire Lessons. Then select Jazz Anatomy. This vid lesson will show you TONS. Shows comping, block chords, and solo'ing...all from a Jazz Blues comp'ing stand point. You'll get a lot out of these vids. Here's the tab and notation for 1: http://truefire.com/gptv/more/bluesr.pdf Here's the tab and notation for 2: http://truefire.com/gptv/more/bluess.pdf

Members Remolution Posted November 21, 2006 Members Posted November 21, 2006 Is the book in tab, chords, notes?

Members bardsley Posted November 22, 2006 Members Posted November 22, 2006 It's got position markings though, so it's relatively easy to read. You're unlikely to be able to sight read it, unless you're at a stage that you probably don't need the book.
