Members danswon Posted December 14, 2006 Members Posted December 14, 2006 just wondering if anyone knew of any resource where i could find lots of cool licks and runs.trying to expand my solo repertoire, as although i feel i'm pretty good, i've never had any lessons or in fact learnt anything that i didn't teach myself.i could sit around and come up with a bunch of stuff but i need more motivation - any help? cheers!
Members Virgman Posted December 14, 2006 Members Posted December 14, 2006 There's loads of stuff on the net. If you want blues licks type "blues licks" in Google. Metal, etc.
Members gennation Posted December 14, 2006 Members Posted December 14, 2006 http://lessons.mikedodge.com The Beginners to Advanced Series is the stuff you SHOULD know (scales, chords, general music theory lingo and application). The On Tpoic section is the stuff you WANT to know (everything from Rock, Blues, Country, Jazz, Middle-Eastern, Vai/Satch stuff, etc...). There's boat loads at my site.
