Can someone help me out? I'm not looking for anything too complex. I'm thinking I might like to write some fusion latin/jazz progressions to noodle over. Thanx!

Emajor-F#Maj7-Emin7

will give you a basic Spanish type sounding progression.

also in a similar vein.

Em9

E---------------------0----0----

B-----------------0--------0---

G-------------0------------0----

D---------4----------------4----

A------2-------------------2---

E--0-----------------------0----

Play E Phrygian over it (or C Major if you will).

It's basically the intro to Bungalo Bill off the Beatles White album. It's also by Al Dimeola in the famous Mediterainean Sundance.

There's also the famous progression...

E---0------0-----0----0----0---

B---0------0-----0----0----0---

G---1------2-----4----2----1---

D---2------3-----5----3----2---

A---2------3-----5----3----2---

E---0------0-----0----0----0---

Hey gennation, I'm just curious, the chord you put up is an Em9. Then you say to play an E phrygian over it but the flat 9 and natural 9 will clash. Sup with that?
