Members Remolution Posted January 16, 2007 Members Posted January 16, 2007 ANyone try it? Any good? Really want to learn jazz guitar. What do you think of the pricing? Are teachers "available" to answer questions?
Members Jeremy3 Posted January 16, 2007 Members Posted January 16, 2007 I recommend that you do not sign up, don't make them think their annoying ad on the HC main page is working.
Members gennation Posted January 16, 2007 Members Posted January 16, 2007 Rom, For some jazz stuff spend some time at the On Topic section of my lesson site (http://lessons.mikedodge.com). There's a lot to learn there. Enjoy!
Members Pepsi Posted January 17, 2007 Members Posted January 17, 2007 Instead of writing out my opinion, you can check it out for yourself. They offer a free 7 day trial--- http://www.workshoplive.com/playfree/ I took advantage of the offer and it was completely hassle free. So you really got nothing to lose. Edit--okay I will add this. They did have a forum, but when I was there it was REALLY dead. So I 'suppose' you could interact with teachers on the forum...maybe. But unless it has picked up since I left I don't know if I'd count on that. The advanced jazz lessons with Jody Fischer are really good. It's worth taking advantage of the free trial at the very least.
Members Grantus Posted January 18, 2007 Members Posted January 18, 2007 I like workshoplive, because of the video lessons. The price might be slightly high, but it's worth taking a look, in my opinion.
Members modjo Posted January 24, 2007 Members Posted January 24, 2007 Buy a couple of D'addario string sets. There are coupons in the package that will allow you one week access to workshoplive. (At least here in Belgium)
