most of the 8 finger tappers ive seen have played v type guitars. there are also a lot that play strats, teles, lps, etc. and my biggest question is about wrist angle. i cant for the life of me get comfortable with that retarted dude wrist position, nevermind learning the fingerings. I can use my middle and ring fingers pretty effectively but i can use a much less extreme wrist angle. any tips on wrist angle for all four fingers?

Alot of that has to do with instrument position rather than body style. Try playing with the neck either parallel to the ground or at a 50-60 degree angle like a stick. I find its also better to have your instrument rather high but its really a personal thing. The big problem with tapping is that its not like blues riffs. There are standard and proven ways to execute those well. Tapping seems more of a self-taught idea that deals with a lot of personal discovery.
