Chord Maps?

Hi, I was checking out the chord maps over at www.chordmaps.com and I was wondering. Can you follow this chart, or others like it, in both directions? Instead of just the direction indicated by the arrows?

Those maps are neat. I've seen them previously.

 

The basic answer is yes.

 

What you are seeing there is chord substitution which is a really valuable topic to understand.
