Any input will be much appreciated. I am mostly a blues rock guy and teach a handful of students. Every once in a while I will get a student who wants to learn metal licks and such. Tapping, Sweep picking, and all that stuff. Can anyone recommend a good book for me to at least get my feet wet (or maybe even a little more in depth) with some of those techniques and ideas? btw- I already have Rock Discipline by John Pettrucci. Thanks! Steve

Im not sure on what sites or books to read for learning these techniques.

But I do know of a band that listening to will help you grasp what most of these tech. sound like : Avenged Sevenfold.
