Members HCarlH Posted January 28, 2008 Members Posted January 28, 2008 Check out some videos by Frank Gambale on Sweep Picking. Frank played with the Chick Corea Elecktric Band. Here's one of his books: Frank Gambale - Speed Picking

It will help you a great deal in the long run just to try to learn as much as you can that way. Also check out cyberfret.com for a lot of info about arpeggios, modes, improvising and other stuff like that. there's plenty of youtube stuff out there.
Members bigdaddydave Posted January 30, 2008 Members Posted January 30, 2008 Search the "Lesson Loft" for sweep picking-I bet you'll find enough material to keep ya busy for awhile.
Moderators daddymack Posted January 30, 2008 Moderators Posted January 30, 2008 moved to lesson loft...not on topic for Music Biz... DM

He covers basic major/minor "up/down" arps and the technique itself. It's one of those techniques that is hard to explain in words, but very easy to demonstrate.
