Members bulevardi.be Posted February 6, 2008 Members Posted February 6, 2008 Hi, I'm searching for a good book with techniques mostly about: arpeggio's, legago, shredding, sweeping, tapping, pinch harmonics, ... Could someone recommend me some good books? Some are detailed, some are more in general... I can't choose about these: - Terryfying Technique For Guitar About: alternate, economy, hybrid, and sweep picking; symmetrical, chromatic, and scale exercises; arpeggios, tapping, legato, and bending sequences; - Progressive Tapping Licks, Lessons and Tab for 75 Extreme Guitar Tapping Ideas. About: blues and classic tapping licks; scalar tapping licks; triads and arpeggios; advanced tapping licks; string skipping, multi-finger tapping, tapped bends, pedal points, open strings and other devices; - Guitar Tapping From The Basics to the hottest licks and tricks About: the basics of tapping; tapping arpeggios; tapping scale fragments; the ascending tap concept; right-hand slides, tapped bends, tap harmonics and chordal tapping; multi-fingered tapping; combining techniques; - Creative Guitar 2 About: sweep/economy picking; legato; pick and fingering; tapping; 8 finger tapping; - Harmonics For Guitar: the complete guide About: natural harmonics; tapped, plucked and pinch-style artificial harmonics; chordal and melodic applications for harmonics; - Spead Mechanics For Lead Guitar (troy stetina) About: Take your playing to the stratosphere with the most advanced lead book by this proven heavy metal author. Speed Mechanics is the ultimate technique book for developing the kind of speed and precision in today's explosive playing styles. Learn the fastest ways to achieve speed and control, secrets to make your practice time really count, and how to open your ears and make your musical ideas more solid and tangible. Packed with over 200 vicious exercises including Troy's scorching version of "Flight of the Bumblebee." Music and examples demonstrated on CD.. ?? I don't know anymore... I have 2 books from the 'progressive' series ('lead guitar' and and 'heavy metal licks') it's not that good, only a bit theory about major/minor/pentatonic/blues scales and a few poor examples... I don't need explanations anymore about bending/hammer-on/pull-off/... Can anyone advice me ? But I'm looking for a book with lots of training on sweep picking legato's, tapping or pinch harmonics. They have to explain how to do it, from the beginning. Maybe a different detailed book about tapping/harmonics and one about sweep/legato/arpeggio's ?
