Hi,

I posted this on the amp forum, but I thought maybe this is also a good place to ask for feedabck:

I have a project with a DJ, he writes the tunes and another guitarist and I add some guitar parts.

Last weekend and yesterday the DJ and I worked on this tune, it's lounge kind of music, electronic.

The song is on my MySpace music site:

The song takes like 6-7 minutes, and it's pretty repetitive. Basically two different parts and at the end there's a little outro solo.

Any feedback welcome.:)

That's nice and chill. Just got back from taking the family out to dinner, and this is sitting real nice right now.

The tones are really nice and beefy. The playing serves the tune very well, and you cop some good motifs throughout too. Noting wrong with that ending solo either. I liked this quite a bit, especially as background music while I was surfing.

Again the guitar tone sounds really nice. What are you using?

Thanks a lot, Mike !

Yeah, I was pretty happy with the guitar sound, too, and guess what?!

It's not an amp. The DJ came by my house with his macbook and logic on it.

I said we'd have to use the miked cab simulation of my Zoom pedal, but he insisted to show me what his logic amp simulation could do, and I was amazed.

So in the end I just used the Zoom pedal as a pre-amp (so, not FX nor amp models selected) into his soundcard, and logic did the rest.

I still can't believe that software can actually do this.

Thanks again for listening and for your feedback !

Very cool. There are quite a few people who are using laptops for their stage sound these days. They are creating some dynamite sounds too. This recording is proof of that. Welcome to the 21st Century, huh?
