Members 12Gauge Posted March 2, 2008 Members Posted March 2, 2008 I'm new to reading tab. I'm not fluent at it but it's coming along. I'm trying to learn a song called "Water is Wide" by Ed Gerhard which I have the tab for. There are a lot of strange chords in this song which I'm not used to playing. Would learning to play the chords first make it easier for me to have proper finger and hand postion when trying to play the tab? Hope this makes sense. This is the song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdf4AEHxH0o

At the speed where there is no way you can make a mistake. Then add the next small bit. This will slow you down again. When you start speeding up add the next bit.... you'll get there. Slow is main thing. GaJ
