Members taylor910 Posted March 22, 2008 Members Posted March 22, 2008 Hello all,I will be getting married in about a month, and I will be surprising my future wife by getting on stage and playing a short intro on the electric guitar before the band kicks up. I have been practicing the intro to Eric Johnson's "Cliffs of Dover" but can only successfully play it at 3/4 speed. I was hoping I could get some help from the forums on a really tasteful intro lick to be played by a solo electric guitar. I usually play acoustic/fingerstyle so I don't really know where to find anything cool, but I really like bluesy licks; maybe something running up the fretboard and then back down. Nothing incredibly fast, but I do want to impress the crowd, of course. Any suggestions would be MUCH appreciated, I will probably have about 15-30 seconds before the band will start up. Thanks everyone!

And it would certainly impress, however its in open G tuning.http://www.moretabs.com/p/peterframpton-tabs-26422/pennyforyourthoughts-tabs-232934.html
