Members gennation Posted April 21, 2008 Members Posted April 21, 2008 This is directly from my Phrygian Dominant Tutorial at http://lessons.mikedodge.com... This is in Drop D tuning, low to high: D A D G B D -------------------------------------------- Lesson 14: This is a lick from a song I wrote, called The Son. Each of the notes that go from the open string to the fretted note are hammer-ons. And, then there is a slide on the A string from the 1st fret to the 6th fret, as noted. The extra peice at the end of the tab is just a chord to resolve the phrase from a D# major chord to a D major chord. This is a fun one and the speed can be achieved pretty easy with the hammer-ons. Members jonfinn Posted April 21, 2008 Members Posted April 21, 2008 Nice man! Kudos for keeping this lesson/week schedule! To do it once is luck. To do it repeatedly is skill. Never confuse luck with skill.
Members gennation Posted April 21, 2008 Author Members Posted April 21, 2008 Thanks Jon. It is a bit tough keeping them going. I have to do two every other week most of the time. Fun stuff.
Mark Wein Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 I like the more "exotic" lessons...they are sounds that I've never really gotten into before...
