Members W.bat Posted October 15, 2008 Members Posted October 15, 2008 Hey crew got a big ask. I've been trying a few new techniques off the gibson website and came across this scale that I have been trying to master. Problem is I can't work out the last portion of the scale. http://www.gibson.com/en%2Dus/Lifestyle/Lessons/Lesson%2DOf%2DThe%2DDay/the%2Dlongest%2Dpentatonic/ I was wondering if anyone could identify and post the tabs for the scale particularly from prior knowledge. Also any one got any ideas for a funky rift or scale I could practice on. I'm just learning hammer ons and slides. Thanks
Members Virgman Posted October 15, 2008 Members Posted October 15, 2008 Looks like G major pentatonic. Here... http://jguitar.com/scale?root=G&scale=Major+Pentatonic&fret=3&labels=tone¬es=sharps You could play that lick he showed over a G major chord or a song in G. Use of major pentatonics is common in country music.
