Take the songs, techniques, whatever you practice.

Rank them in priority.

Take the most important item and do it ten times. :rawk:

Then the next, then the next, etc.

You probably won't finish your list. But that's ok. :)

You'll get better at the most important things. :D

Try it. :thu:

Nice Idea Virgman! Let me call into question one phrase "Whatever you practice". Do you mean whatever you feel you SHOULD practice?

You ten most important musical techniques/elements?

Shouldnt we practice some things we DON'T Currently?

Not being a wanker just want to make sure I get your concept.

Whatever's important to to you. That's for you to decide.

If you currently practice songs, finger exercises, scales, etc. Make alist.

Rank them in importance to YOU.

Do #1 ten times.

Go to next most important item.

Don't make it into a guilt trip. Be honest with yourself.

Your priorities may change so don't be afraid to reorder your list.

I'm not sure if I understand?!

What do you mean by "do it ten times"?

Like play that song or a particular exercise 10times?

Put the thing you feel is most important first and do it ten times.

If it's a song, play it ten times. If it's the pentatonic scale, play it ten times, etc.

If it's going from the C major open chord to the F barre chord do it ten times.

It can be whatever you make it. A little thing or a big thing.

Ok, I got it !

Cool idea !!!:thu:

So, I will have to run through my alternate picking exercises each 10 times !:cop:

I've been doing this x10 thing and I like it as an alternative approach to practice. Sometimes practice routines can get a little stale (I know mine does) and a new take on it spices things up a bit.

If you haven't tried it, give a whirl. You might like it...
