Hi, Found this on another forum recently and thought this might be a good place to post it too.

It's basically a chart which shows the guitar fretboard notes and there relation to musical notation. Pretty handy I thought

Anyway hope you get some use out of it!

Ha! Just thought I'd add some value before commenting on everyone elses topics.

Guess it's not appreciated though? Sorry!

Depends on your definition of value.

Being a part of the community before spamming helps, too.

TBH I've never had real Spam before. They say it can be good if prepared right.

Really? You never had Spam?

Pick up a can on your next shopping trip. It's pretty good fried.

Live dangerously. :thu:

New guys are welcome. Spammers not so much. :idk:

Living dangerously is asking Mrs Wein to pick up Spam at the store. :o

Damn, you guys really hate the new guys hey? Guess I won't be posting here much anymore.

Ah well, it was good while it lasted.

Hate the new guys?? Huh?

When you step into a discussion site and start "selling" right away it's kind of a drag. Imagine you were hanging with your buds discussing football when all of a sudden some dude who you have never met sits down and starts putting a football related sales pitch on you. Would you like that?

Why not try to help people with your insights. Then if they dig and respect your insights and approach you can direct them to your program.

I dunno guys, he seems to have the right attitude to me.

Jasco's right.

:lol::lol:

By the way GuitarTutor, as long as you don't talk about modes or playing fast you'll do just fine here.

And yes, I know guys, I brought up the dreaded 'M' word. This round's on me. Let me know what you want.

In this lesson we are going to combine the Dorian mode that we constructed in the last lesson (Click here for Dorian Lesson #1) with our Minor Pentatonic Scale.

The important thing to remember is that the only difference between the scales is that the Dorian mode adds a Major 2nd and a Major 6th to the Minor Pentatonic scale. The examples below will help you combine the vocabulary you already have with this new sound.

In our next lesson I will have a transcription of a solo using the Dorian Mode/Minor Pentatonic combination that I played on a live recording of the song "December" by my band "Felt". This is from a gig we played in a mall, of all places...not the greatest quality but I think we'll get some good vocabulary from the solo. Check it out here:
