Members scolfax Posted December 24, 2009 Members Posted December 24, 2009 I'm looking for a book & CD, DVD, or online course (something on TrueFire maybe?) that has a ton of pentatonic licks that I can work through. Obviously the quality of the licks and the quality of presentation are the most important things, but I'm also looking for quantity. Any suggestions?

Members Megatron_69 Posted December 25, 2009 Members Posted December 25, 2009 transcribe the freebird solo.I did it in a lesson a few months back for a student....actually it was a live version. Every cool cliche pent lick was there....lol.j/k
Members GreenAsJade Posted December 25, 2009 Members Posted December 25, 2009 As you can see, anyone who's read TLL for a while will know that generally speaking the advice is "transcribe real music, don't just learn licks". That said, to answer your question "Pentatonic Power" has a decent collection of pentatonic licks and exercises. Unfortunately, the author seems to have fallen in with the Jamorama crowd, and these days you only see it on web sites with free steak knives etc. GaJ
