Members Kid Charlemagne Posted March 9, 2010 Members Posted March 9, 2010 I've been researching this method since the $100 price tag makes me want to know it has something to offer beyond what I know already before purchasing it. As far as I can tell it uses E,A,and D shaped 2nd inversions major triads in four places on the neck (1 A, 1 D, 1 6th string E, and 1 5th string E) as reference points for everything else. The rest is modifying the 3rd or fifth or adding other intervals to make any chord. Makes sense to me. So far however, I find that visualizing these shapes on the neck is actually quite hard because of the gap left, in particular, by the missing G-shape ala CAGED. What I'm wondering is: Do I essentially already know the trick or is there something more that's worth my buying the book for? Thanks.
