I'm baaaack!!!!! :)

I figured I could post the Youtube videos here and you guys know how to click the link in my signature if you want the printed portion of the video...my studio is hosting a regular blues jam every week here in Anaheim at a local bar and we teach a couple of different blues performance classes in the studio so I am cranking out a series of more practical blues lessons for those guys and thought I'd share. I actually will have a companion lesson to this one from our other instructor Tom Harkenrider hopefully later today that will show you how to play rhythm in this style in a two guitar setting.

EDIT:

Here is Toms lesson on alternative parts:

Hey Mark!! Great to have you back!

You made it out of exile what gives?

Hey Jeremy!

I've had kind of a long summer with our site upgrades and some other projects but I'm finally able to add some lessons so I wanted to get back for a bit....I figured I wasn't "breaking the rules" by posting the video so why not?

Besides lots of blues this summer I did have one fusion gig that really made me sweat:

Mark Stern! Nice job man. Love playin his tunes the heads are epic!

:) Thanks! I really stressed about that. Nothing like playing unisons with a featured soloist from the LA Philharmonic at 9am for a room full of music students

Those guys are talking about making the group an actual band and putting together some more music, which would be fun since I've never really played much fusion before. It'll be a good challenge for me.

Yeah that's a heavy situation. Especially having to memorize ALL THOSE LINES! Stern never goes easy on you. It's really fun stepping up to the plate like that though. Nothing advanced me quicker than my times with fusion projects. Gotta warm up good for those gigs!
