Well Virg, take as a sign that something big is about to happen/change. I don't know too many people who come out of hibernation and repeat the same things. Somethings on the horizon!

Sadly, Les passed on :( I saw him twice though in the 90's :thu:

I am aware of that but they still do Les Paul Mondays there and what is cooler is a DIFFERENT AWESOME player sits in for Les each week. Eric Johnson is coming up as is Holdsworth, Bonamassa was there, Krantz, Stern, and a myriad of others. It's insane.

That's cool. The legacy lives on!

The last couple weeks my motivation to play and practice has been low.

Ugh.
:bor:

Me, I hate it when my motivation to post on theory sites gets too low. Then I'm forced to go and practice something...

Its very cool ... Steve Morse this week I think

Virg, go check it out if you can! I've sat through a couple of Morse seminars. Very inspiring. Besides being a great player he's got some great stories and I'm sure during his show he'll be talking about how he plays things and gets certain sounds...in true Les Paul spirit, plus the room is going to be full of guitarists.

You guys get all the good stuff :(

I saw Steve Morse with Deep Purple a while back and he was unbelievably good...and this coming from a Blackmore fanboy like me.

Honestly Virgman if I lived in or near Manhattan I don't think I'd EVER be home - EVER. For an artist or musician (or human being in general) that place is a playground.

Go out man! Do it for me.

Word!

I can't even remember all the great people I've seen there. Just get the Village Voice or some other rag mag and you'll drool at the names. I saw Mitch Mitchell and Noel Redding playing with a couple of blues cats, I can't who the top dude was...Johnny Lang or Kenny Wayne or something, but the guitarists were secondary that night anyways. I also saw Warren Haynes and The Flecktones playing with the Dave Matthews band all night. Jeez, I even went to Madonna's Pajama Party night, at Webster Hall I think it was. Not to mention Les Paul twice!

That's only to name a few.
