I'm looking for a good piece of software for the Mac that will display notes, scales, arpeggios, and chords on a fretboard diagram. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

I use Tux Guitar to distribute music on my website. It is not as good as some other programs that do much of the same thing, however, it is free!

Tux guitar will draw chord diagrams for you. I'm not sure about scale charts. That depends on what you are looking for. It is a tab editor so you can certainly tab you scales out. I have a link to it on my links page.

There is also a chord / scale finder on my links page that you might be interested in.

I was going to recommend Guitar Tools, but see that you found it.

It's still very much a work in progress. I gave some feedback to the developer a few versions ago (Oct/Dec 2008), and from what I recall not all of it was incorporated in later releases. For example, the information regarding relative scales was flawed when yo changed scales.

Still looks promising and hopefully will continue to evolve. The developer is very receptive to user feedback.
