Members jeremy_green Posted July 13, 2011 Members Posted July 13, 2011 Hey all, I just got back one of my songs "Phatso" from remix/master. This is the same song I did that was reviewed in Guitar Player magazine over a year ago, some of you may have heard it. However it features new drum and bass tracks plus a new mix. Not meaning to grub publicity or anything, just stoked and wanted to share it with you good folks. Here's the link: http://www.myspace.com/jeremygreenspage We talk about goals a lot here, well one of mine is to get an album of my stuff done. This tune is part of that longer term goal. If only there was more time! Let me know if you dig it.
Members BydoEmpire Posted July 13, 2011 Members Posted July 13, 2011 Congrats Jeremey - sounds great as always. Committing to a "finished" version of a song isn't easy, let alone completing the recording & mixing. I like that odd harmonized part starting around 0:25. Weird and a little dissonant, but cool. The drums are great, too.
Members mosiddiqi Posted July 13, 2011 Members Posted July 13, 2011 Sounds great!..very cool Jeremy. I like the harmonised lines and the bits around 1.48 particularly...interesting composition. Good luck with the rest of the album!
Members NorthernPaul Posted July 13, 2011 Members Posted July 13, 2011 Congrats mate, it sounds class!!Paul
Members jeremy_green Posted July 14, 2011 Author Members Posted July 14, 2011 Thanks guys! It does feel great to cross things off the list. One at a time!
Members meganutt7 Posted July 16, 2011 Members Posted July 16, 2011 I remember how the old one sounded. This is a far better mix!! great stuff. The playing is easier to hear and the groove is alt more conducive to the phrasing. Alot more Wayne Krantzy/Oz Noyish in the bass and drums!!
Members jeremy_green Posted July 17, 2011 Author Members Posted July 17, 2011 Thanks Danny, I usually write these things with the intention of getting the boys (you know, like REAL human beings) to all add their parts. I hate the programmed drums thing, so I am finally getting around to getting it all together one at a time. But that can be an undertaking of its own with everyone's schedules. Thanks for the kind words brother.

Thanks for the kind words brother.Whatever, man. You know you're awesome!! Been playing alot of gigs... teaching.. recording... I am getting busy as all hell, man. It's good.By the way though, I program all my drums now... I have alot of people ask me who plays on my tracks... I motion to my two index fingers.. Funny... I make joke.
Members oldschoolshred Posted July 21, 2011 Members Posted July 21, 2011 Great tune dude. This is the first time I heard it so I can't compare to the old version, but good job.
Members gschmittling Posted July 24, 2011 Members Posted July 24, 2011 Awesome. Definitely have your own voice which is such a great accomplishment. I dig. When you have an album put me on the list to buy one.
Members jeremy_green Posted July 27, 2011 Author Members Posted July 27, 2011 Thanks Garrett! Very good to see you around here bro. Don't be such a stranger dude.
Members jonfinn Posted July 28, 2011 Members Posted July 28, 2011 What a cool tune!! Great writing, great feel, great tone, originality... You've got it all goin on brother! Congratulations on that GP review too!
Members jeremy_green Posted August 1, 2011 Author Members Posted August 1, 2011 Thanks Jon! Damn nice words from a guy of your caliber.
Members Virgman Posted August 5, 2011 Members Posted August 5, 2011 Nice, Jeremy. You are a very fine musician, dude. However I object to the title "Phatso" and feel you are politically incorrect. A possible suggestion for a new song title would be "Gravitationally Challenged".
Members jeremy_green Posted August 5, 2011 Author Members Posted August 5, 2011 HA! Nice to see you Virgman. You've been missed round here.I will take your song title into consideration
Members stomias Posted August 5, 2011 Members Posted August 5, 2011 Very nice Jeremy. Really dig the guitar. Bass line sounds great too!
