Members Virgman Posted March 29, 2012 Members Posted March 29, 2012 I can't believe this. It's all so simple!!!!!

You go ahead and soak up all that Beautiful Music Theory. Learn as much as you can, and when you finally do. "You will inevitably hit that Wall." When you do, this will be here waiting for you. In which I say to you "You're Welcome."
Members polishpaul Posted March 30, 2012 Members Posted March 30, 2012 Thanks for the welcome! But....to where? To what? I copied the image location and got to tumblr, but got no further than a picture like you posted. I clicked on the YouTube link in your sig but just saw a movie clip related to neither music theory nor "the breaking process". Perhaps things will continue to unfold, slowly and somewhat mysteriously....which is nice. I await the next cryptic installment.
Members Analog_Control Posted March 30, 2012 Author Members Posted March 30, 2012 I await the next cryptic installment. Let me ask you this: Have you learned "Transposition"? Wait, scratch that... Let me rephrase this question. "What do you see when you look at your guitar fret?"
Members gennation Posted March 30, 2012 Members Posted March 30, 2012 There are only two sounds in music, Major and Minor. Learn how they are different from each other yet compliment each other. It doesn't get any simpler or more effective than that.
Members Analog_Control Posted March 30, 2012 Author Members Posted March 30, 2012 Major and Minor. Chaos and Order.

Members 1001gear Posted March 31, 2012 Members Posted March 31, 2012 I see green grunjee often groaty stuff. With the recent developments here, I worry about the metal folk invading. They don't speak a language so they prolly can't read a theory book. Might get a bunch lost here thinking it's backstage. eeklol
Members gennation Posted March 31, 2012 Members Posted March 31, 2012 Untrue Don't be getting all Dominant on me now
Members jonfinn Posted March 31, 2012 Members Posted March 31, 2012 I ask OP in all seriousness these questions: -What is it you are trying to convey. My impression is that you want to inspire people to go beyond their own paradigm and think outside the box. Correct? -If that's true, can you be a little more clear about what you suggest? -If you believe you have the answer, why should we listen to you? (I always get a little skeptical when someone tells me they've "got the answer" - but that's just me.). -Do you have any music you've created that uses your system? If so, where can we hear it? -Can you accept the possibility that someone may disagree with you, and still get great results? Maybe you don't mean it this way, but so far your posts seem a little mysterious and have an element of "allow me to show you the way". What say you?
Members c+t in b Posted March 31, 2012 Members Posted March 31, 2012 Don't be getting all Dominant on me now Ha! I'm not. I just think that Consonance and Dissonance are better terms for what you were trying to convey.
Members gennation Posted March 31, 2012 Members Posted March 31, 2012 Ha! I'm not. I just think that Consonance and Dissonance are better terms for what you were trying to convey. I meant "dominant" as a third sound, total pun. People can search for Consonance and Dissonance forever. And to some, Consonance and Dissonance will be a mystery for life. And, each individual can hear or recognize Consonance and Dissonance differently...but they can not mistake Major and Minor and through it they can recognize and exploit some very difficult pieces of music by learning where to find these two basic sounds in music. Plus this is about simple terms, right?...you can't get much simpler then Major and Minor.
Members Analog_Control Posted April 2, 2012 Author Members Posted April 2, 2012 I'm still developing my theory. Patient, I'm still designing it.I'm not satisfied with this design, but I believe it will start raising some important questions.Such as "Can you see what I am showing you here? Can you see that you can apply it to the Chord System? Do you begin to see it's true value? How do you transpose that value? Do you really believe my Theory is just for Music Theory?... Questions and questions. Excuse me while I burn my mind."
Members polishpaul Posted April 2, 2012 Members Posted April 2, 2012 ^^^^ Cool graphic. It's all so obvious, really. The king and queen are doing headstands on the beach and listening to a pianist play as they observe the sea's reflection in a mirror. I wasn't completely sure until I'd played around with part of the graphic....then it all fell into place. Check the attachment for the final piece in the puzzle.
