Members GreenAsJade Posted April 14, 2012 Members Posted April 14, 2012 I just can't for the life of me find something that makes the sound of the rhythm guitar in this... suggestions? It's surely something simple, but I can't pick it.... (The basic chords are F, Eb, Bb, F) TIA! GaJ

Members JonR Posted April 18, 2012 Members Posted April 18, 2012 The first chord is F7, arpeggiated: -x--6--8--7--(8) optional root-x- I think the others are just plain Eb and Bb triads - partial, but I can't hear them well enough. There's a kind of hammer on at the end of the Bb chord from the Bb to a C note. (probably 3rd string fret 3h5). Of course, there's a strong tremelo effect too - that's the most distinctive thing.
Members GreenAsJade Posted April 19, 2012 Author Members Posted April 19, 2012 Thanks Jon. That F7 is a breakthrough for making it sound right I'm still not getting the kind of hammer convincingly. I'm starting to think it's actually in an open tuning. But - with your F7 and a kind of slide of the barre that the ring finger does in making the Bb (and it's happening in the Eb too) sliding up one fret to the "destination" of the chord, it sounds OK. Thanks again! GaJ
