Members JonChorba
Exactly. There's zero information out there. I can't even find the old Line 6 forums. That seems very odd.
Members scolfax
Last I heard they were checking the work off of the assembly line, but that was months ago. Must be something seriously wrong. Not the US models, the Korean ones.

Members Bobby D
they are COMING -- from what i understand from Rich Renken, they had some issues they wanted to get 100% right before they shipped the big batch of Korean ones out to all the dealers. the UK has gotten a shipment, and the USA should start seeing some soon. the hot new thing at MESSE this week is the new HD desktop "bean" model that is being shown, but i don't know the specs on it yet. my Tyler Variax JTV-69 US has been gigging hard for the last six months, with no issues at all. I have done some studio session with it for an album that's getting released next month, just got emailed some mixes of the tracks i played on, and the guitar sounds VERY much like the model is aiming for -- the Tele models SOUNDS like a Tele on the recording, and so does the strat and les paul. i also used the alt tuning knob on some tracks, and could not hear any "arifacts" or weirdness in the guitar tones. been VERY happy with the JTV-69US -- i played all three versions of the Korean guitars at NAMM, and they are really quite nice. they are not as finely finished and the neck is not as good as the USA version i have, but they are very nice quality guitars for the $$$, and have the exact same variax electronics. of the Korean models, i thought the JTV-59 played and felt the best, to me....the JTV-89 shredder and JTV-69 strat were nice as well, but the 59 seemed to be a bit more polished and i really dug it. this is one of the most high tech guitars ever released, and Line 6 is being VERY careful not to rush release these guitars with issues that are going to frustrate people. and i do think these will be VERY popular with club band guys, show band guts, session players, and anyone who needs a multitude of sounds and cant afford to carry around a half dozen guitars! Members Bobby D
Did you plam mute at all on these? That was my biggest gripe with the 700 series and I'd love to know if that issue was addressed. i am gonna do some video demos with the JTV-69, and will do my best do play some metal type riffing with palm muting. keep an eye on my youtube acct: youtube.com/roccotanto i have the "dream rig" -- the HD500, the DT-50, and the JTV-69 -- been gigging the whole system for a few months now, and am having nothing but positive feedback from bandmates, soundmen, fellow musicians, and listeners at my gigs! i ESPECIALLY love the HD500, first modeler i have ever LOVED. Members scolfax
^^^ Wow, that was a *very* impressive demo! Seriously, best I've seen and a very convincing argument for going whole-hog with the current crop of Line6 stuff. Huge difference between videos where folks just throw something up after just opening the box.
Members Bobby D
this demo focuses on a VERY CLEAN sound, and just the models in the JTV-69, so you can really hear them thank you for the positive feedback scolfax

Members Bobby D
i will be doing more and more demos.....as you can imagine, there are LOTS of sounds and tones to be found with the rig. i just uploaded some of my stage use patches to custom tones, for any other HD500 users that want to try them out. i LOVE the editing software for the HD500 -- i am already familiar enough with the way most of the amps and effects sound that i can write new patches using just the editor and not using audio.... the band i am playing with right now does mostly modern rock, so most of my stage patches have been in that realm...but i will be doing some more wild stuff, as well as some more lower gain bread and butter style patches too as time goes on. Members JonChorba
The HD500 is easily the best amp sim I've ever played through. It has a response that is uncanny in the digital realm. Not to mention the routing and I/O options. I highly recommend it!
Members richrenken
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know I am back. I am now working as a customer advocate for all our gear because of what we did here in this thread. I have been absent because of the crazy year I had with the new James Tyler Variax.
