Members iAmCam Posted July 8, 2010 Members Posted July 8, 2010 I thinking about ordering an Axe FX this week along with a GCP. I do want the controller from Fractal but I am purchasing a GCP to hold me over till then. The GCP does not have a tuner, so whats the easiest way to get a tuner on my board with the least amount of cables? I am going to be running the 7pin midi to power the GCP. Does the GCP have an input for my guitar? or will i have to plug into axe fx? meaning i would run a 7pin midi AND 1/4'' from Axefx to board for tuner?
Members DeadNight Warrior Posted July 15, 2010 Members Posted July 15, 2010 The GCP won't be able to show a display of the Axe's tuner. I know one or two of the controllers out there used to be able to do it, but I'm not sure if they can (Axe-FX firmware updates might have affected their ability to do it). Best bet I guess would be to just use the Axe's display for tuning until the Fractal controller is finally released.

Members Eschatologist Posted August 22, 2010 Members Posted August 22, 2010 I've been using the AxeFX tuner over my various software and hardware tuners....its great!
Members thirsty one Posted August 22, 2010 Members Posted August 22, 2010 I use the AxeFx tuner. For guitar, not issues. When I play bass through the axefx I have to chime a harmonic for the low E. That is really no problem.
