Members BeanoBoy
I recently 'upgraded' my Amplitube 3 program. It simply doesn't work. I've tried several attempts to get 'help' from IK Multimedia with going around in circles results. Bottom line, they recommend re-installing Amplitube 3.02.. However I can find no trace of HOW to do that on their website. Their Tech Support phone isn't working. Can ANYONE out there help me? I can navigate the program fairly well but I'm not a super computer type. Layman's terms would be appreciated. Thank you
Members larryguitar
After downloading the free amplitube, registering, jumping through the authorization hoops and all that, it won't install because the installation software includes older software than I have installed. Never been through so much trouble for any piece of software, and thoroughly enjoyed deleting all that crap from my computer.

Their online tech support is so lame, they just emailed me telling me I can't download my old program because I have the free upgrade!!! I originally had Amplitube. I downloaded what I thought was an upgrade. Now I can't get rid of it and they're unwilling to let me retrieve my old program. I think it's a scam to get guys to buy credits. Members Eddie
Makes me glad I've moved away from IK. I still like some of the T-Racks plugins and I'm glad I got 6 for the price of one or something like that. When I've wanted to use my Jam Points, I can only use them at their store if I pay much more than what the software costs elsewhere. And if they have a promotion, I can't use the Jam Points. Absurd.Their incredible, time-limited deal on Ampeg SVX for $99 has expired, yet now I can buy it for the same $99 without any special IK offers. I'm glad I went with Markbass Studio 1 instead.I used to like IK a few years ago, but not anymore. Best of luck with Amplitube.
Members Brian @ IK
@BeanoBoy - every IK Multimedia product you have registered is available to download from the Downloads page in your User Area. To access a previous version of AmpliTube 3, simply click the [View] button under Previous Versions. @Larry - which software is that?
Members ggm1960
Ok, so I have Amplitube 3 but now there is this new Ampllitube 3 Free version out that anyone can get? The e-mail is telling me to download 3.5 but is that a good idea or am I better off to just stick with what I have?
Members Brian @ IK
Download the 3.5 update. It is the latest update for your AmpliTube 3 software. It provides 64-bit support and a number of fixes. It also introduces the Custom Shop. The free version of AmpliTube 3.5 is the same software as the 3.5 update, but with limited models available. Users of AmpliTube 3 full and FREE will both be able to add new models through the Custom Shop, including our new officially certified Soldano SLO-100, and several new officially certified Orange and Fender models. So this is the new direction then. Everyone has the same program and IK is going to sell us models. Maybe that's a good move, I dunno, currently I must say I'm a bit underwhelmed by the idea. Members Brian @ IK
The idea since the introduction of X-GEAR has been that everyone has the same program, and can integrate all of the AmpliTube titles together in it. The Custom Shop just adds a new way to try and buy gear to add to AmpliTube. You can always still buy AmpliTube 3, AmpliTube Fender, Ampeg SVX and others as full titles. One of the clear advantages to the Custom Shop is now we can make new gear available much sooner, and at a price that everyone can afford.

Members Brian @ IK
Thanks, Greg. You definitely won't be underwhelmed once you try the new Fender, Soldano, Orange, & T
Members ggm1960
I finally downloaded and installed 3.5.2. Seems to be working just fine for me although I haven't tried it but for less than a 1/2 hour. I see a couple small differences but overall the program looks the same. I'm not sure how I'll tell what is new, after all, the models never did have specific names (American Tube Clean, American Tube Vintage, British Tube Lead) as compared to my GSP1101. Ok now I see it, custom shop.
