On-Stage Heavy-Duty Dual-Tier Z Stand

Recommended Posts

Anyone use one of these buggers?

On-Stage Stand

I've got a QuikLok Z726L on order, but QuikLok seems to be encountering import customs issues and mine has been on order since mid-April. Frankly, I'm tired of waiting and am wondering if I should hold out for the Z726L. I originally wanted the QuikLok because it's got a wider base 44" versus only 36" for the On-Stage and I was thinking it would be stabler for the X8 and JX-8P combination that would be going on it.

I have a Triton Classic ProX on mine (single tier version) and it is rock solid. The really great thing about it is that it gets low enough to compensate for the weighted keybed. Most stands get down to concert height, but the extra 2 inches of chassis raises the keys too high for me (and don't get me started on computer desks).

I would recommend it highly. The teardown is not quick, but I have it in a studio, so I cannot comment on the screws and durability.

This stand is totally rock solid. But that's because it's so #+^% heavy! Plus it takes too much time to set up/ tear down for my gigs. It's now my home stand, which is a perfect place for it.

I don't know how wide it gets, but it's so solid that it doesn't need any more. I have an 80 pound controller on the bottom and actually have the stand pushed in by quite a bit with no wiggle.

I've got it, but I'm just a studio guy, so gig-worthyness isn't an issue for me. That said, it feels rock solid to me and I've got two relatively heavy boards (a Kurz 88-key PC2x and an Andromeda) on it.

The only thing I don't like about it is that the top tier doesn't extend quite high enough for my needs.

I'd say go for it.

Oh, and check around a bit; I think you should be able to get it cheaper than the Musican's Friend price ($190). I know I didn't pay that much, in fact I think I paid less than $100.

I think I paid $69 for mine. They had 'em on sale, and I just bought it on a whim.

The thing is too heavy for standard shipping, so be sure to check total cost.

I have mine on carpet and haven't had any issues with it.

I think I got mine on special for ~ $79, but if I had been waiting as long as you, I'd probably just pull the trigger at $99. ;)

Holds up my Yamaha P200 and Korg Mono/Poly. Rock solid! I like them better than the Ultimate Support Apex stands. They were a bit wobbly.

I have two of these.

They are solid, stable, and reasonably priced. I do play on the harder side, so stability for me was paramount. They do not compact super well and take just a minute longer to setup, but I'd rather have that than wobble.

I really tried the Standtastic models, but just didn't fit. A lot of folks here like them, so you may consider that. The On Stage will not take *that* much more time to set up.

Bang for buck you won't be disappointed.

Look at what I received:

We are going to need to cancel your order for the Z727 second tier. At this time, we will not be receiving any Quiklok shipments and all orders have been canceled. They are going to be reworking US distribution. At some point, we may pick up the line again but we don't know when that will be. Perhaps you

will be able to find it in stock at another retailer. I apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience on the long wait. Your credit card was not charged for the order.
