OT: White speaker stands

Our church just got a sound system, and we also just had a consultant come in and look at how to revamp our sanctuary to be a bit more aesthetically pleasing. He asked if we could get white speaker stands so the stands wouldn't be as noticeable. I have a few questions about this:

1. Do they even make white stands?

2. Do you guys think that white stands would be less noticeable? I almost think that having black speaker cabs on white stands with black cables running to them would be even more noticeable than traditional black speaker stands.

Any advice or ideas?

J

No...people expect sound system stuff to be black. If they are painted, white/pink/blue to "blend in" it will make them stand out more.

Our church (seats 2000) "flew" our speakers from the roof and painted them a tan coulor in that case, to match the color of the ceiling.

We have subs and other FOH speakers on the ground that are black, and we have tune up speakers for the front rows built into the risers that are white, even though the carpet is a crimson color.

This was all well though out by the decor committe. Seriously... doesn't matter.
