Members syncretism
This guy came out of the blue. I'm well keen on the usual Frogrock suspects, Pinhas and Helden, or Igor Wakhevitch and Triangle, but Besombes is a revelation. With way more electronics than those guys, he sounds like Italian prog virtuosi Goblin by way of Tangerine Dream. Most of it wouldn't sound out of place on em:t or _Excursions in Ambience_ comps from the nineties - prescient, given that the stuff I have on CD was recorded in the seventies. Love it. I bought his stuff unheard after I'd read Julian Cope's reviews: http://www.headheritage.co.uk/unsung/review/1503 You can buy his music relatively cheaply here. Members syncretism
Damn it, this is just another reminder of how important Nurse With Wound's influences list is. Had I been more thorough, I could have found Besombes years ago.
