Members sonaboy Posted October 15, 2005 Members Posted October 15, 2005 . has that high damp switch like the Danecho and Akai headrush has, and will self-oscillate - anyone tried one? i'm looking for a home rig pedal on the cheap, and this is looking pretty good right now. 80 bucks...
Members ElectricMayhem Posted October 15, 2005 Members Posted October 15, 2005 They are great for budget pedals. The knobs aren't as sturdy as a boss, but you get more for your money overall and the tones are always there. Good tones.

I don't think they were ever in plastic housings. I have an ODR-1 from the last series and it's metal. Yes, the knobs truly suck. I've never tried any other Nobels pedals though. As flimsy as the knobs are, they are well protected. I've never accidentaly hit them with my foot.
Members autopilot Posted October 16, 2005 Members Posted October 16, 2005 also you should check the digidelay it's in the same ballpark as the nobels with more features.

I've had one, i was just curious about this line i had never tried before. i think the difference of being able to emulate a good analog delay might not just be a high freq cut, but actually a filter that approximates several different frequency changes - i think the Ibanez DE7 does this well, whereas a pedal like a danecho just sounds sorta lifeless. the digidelay fell inbetween the DE7 and Danecho area, for me.
