with the new whammy being midi controllable, isn't it theoretically possible that a device that sends the correct midi signals could:

1) perform random arpegiator settings by defining random pitch points, or simply change the harmonize settings to random values at random times

2) do defined pitch arp. by utilizing specific amounts to raise the pitch in harmonize up 1/2 octave mode

this thread was inspired by another arpegiator thread today

Random, I dunno.
How many MIDI Arpeggatiors have a 'random' setting?

SEMI-random, hell yeah. just set a sequencer with random notes of random lengths for longer than the song or set. Actually, you'll need to have a MIDI data recording of random CONTROL SIGNAL messages.
THen you can use the WH in place of the internal OSC on the Effexon(which also gives you and OD and 2 EQs in series) and there you go.
