What do you do with all you extra distortion boxes?

Over the years, I have accumulated an assortment of distortion boxes and overdrives that I just can't bear to part with, even if I use them rarely.

Right now I am using an SIB Varidrive almost exclusively.

So what do you do with all those extra boxes?

I am thinking about making a second pedal board just for my collection of distortion and overdrive boxes and loop it out of the chain with a real nice switch box (I have a great loop box that I bought from Keith at Aramat Effects).

Sound like a good idea?

I got a lot of them in a trunk in my music room, there are some more stacked up under my desk and some more on a shelf in a display type case. Those are the ones I swap in and out frequently. But all stay in their boxes with no batteries in them.

My pedalboard is like Thunderdome when it comes distortion pedals. Two go in...one remains after they battle it out. I usually sell the defeated, sorry losers.

Actually I have two on there right now....but they seem to both be in a stalemate for supremacy. But mostly I sell the ones I don't use.
