Members Acid Test Posted November 2, 2005 Members Posted November 2, 2005 An employee of mine said they were unable to attend the yearly holiday party because their religion prohibits them from participating in secular holidays. I am a bit confused since the party has no religous affiliation or association with a date or event. The party just happens to fall in the holiday season. What is going on here?
Members TigerInATrance Posted November 2, 2005 Members Posted November 2, 2005 That's just it... There is no religious affiliation so there is no celebration for them. It's a bit strange though. I would say that unless it were a religious observance they would decline any sort of celebration. I think the Jehova's Witnesses are like that... Maybe some others as well.
