anyhow here's my list:

 

1. Fratres by Arvo Part.

2. Preludes by Debussy

3. Cello Suites by JS Bach

4. Einstein on the Beach by Philip Glass.

5. Symphony No. 3 ("Symphony of Sorrowful Songs") by Gorecki

speaking of mussorgsky on guitar...the 1st song i wrote on guitar was a homework assignment from my 2nd (and last) guitar lesson--take some chords from a joe pass book and write a song. it turned out a to be a pretty good jazz waltz until i figured out it was just a remake of "pictures from an exhibition." oops!

Pictures at an Exhibition XV. The Great Gate of Kiev - Mussorgsky (The original piano arrangement, the orchestra loses a little somehting)
Unaccompanied Cello Suite No.1 in G major, I. Predlude- J.S. Bach

Mlada: Procession of the Nobles - Rimsky-Korsakov
