quick question about the small stone reissue...

Well I asked the opinion of the forum prior to purchasing a USA reissue and the consensus was that the USA is a pretty damn similar. I love it. The volume drop? Hell I'd love to know if it's easy to fix cause it drives me NUTS when I use it with a FUZZ.

I've owned a few vintage models, and they are wildly inconsistent. Some sound trippy, others sound muted and wimpy.

I've got a reissue now, and it's a solid performer. If you found a vintage one that sounded like that, you wouldn't be disappointed, but you wouldn't be drooling, either.

If you run a compressor, put the small stone before it in your chain. Doing this will eliminate the drop if you sqaush it enough.

Bump for more info on doing the volume drop mod yourself.

This should be pretty simple, and I've always wanted to. My soldering skills are good enough now, but I'd like confirmed info so I don't screw it up.

well its cool cos analogmike does 2 internal trimpots to change volume and feedback...ill email him now

i believe quite a few people have offered this mod.. do a search for "unity gain" and small stone on google. i know of at least a few sites thart pop up.
