You'll be in good hands.

I'm a general dmd and I remove a lot of teeth,

either intact or root frags...if your case was

"something special" (like on top of a major nerve

or up in the sinuses), that's where I'd refer you to.

Relax.

Breathe slow and often.

Gainster,

I had a tooth break right in the front of the lower jaw right a the gum line. They put a pin in it and the whole thing was painless. They will numb it so well that you best not have any singing to do tomorrow. Other than that, don't worry too much...

However, make sure to take all meds and keep it super clean while it heals or .... let's not go there.

You know I seriously didn't consider your plight before telling that antecdote.

I guess I find myself in another SNL skit moment.

Sorry bout that. :o

Smoking a pig saturday, Mitch. Were going to do it Cuban style but we found a guy to let us borrow a smoker at the last minute.

Good times. Unless you're a Jew.

Being knocked out isn't a bad thing.
I was awake when I had all 4 wisdom teeth exo'd.
The lowers were is sideways, deep.
He sectioned one into 12 parts and got 11 out.
....he said " you get to keep that last one"...

....I won't be doin' that again anytime soon.

:freak:

What are you going to put in it's place?

Good Luck Mitch!

So funny, that was almost exactly my experience getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Except when they put the gas mask on me It took like 5-6 mins for it to work. I was getting nervous and told them that I wasn't getting sleepy, so the dentist told his nurse to increase the gas and just as those words left his mouth I was "waking up in a different room on my side.... with a mouthful of gauze..."

Hope everything goes well!:thu:

So weird. What, is it national crown day today or something??

I just got back from my dentist 10 minutes ago. I broke a gold filling about 2 weeks ago and I just today got my new porcelin crown installed. I had a temp for the last two weeks. The way they make temps now is amazing. Anyways, the glue makes it a tad sensitive but all is well. Hope you do good too Mitch. Sounds like yours is a tad more serious than mine, but tooth probs suck.

You sure you're walking, Mitch
Sounds like you might be crawling

I guess all is well, yes? Been through some 'o that stuff myself. tooth decayed under (improperly installed?) crown, broke off molar below gum line. Sent me too a periodontist, and he suggested excising enough gum away to have another crown put on. Boy was I sorry I allowed that to happen. The surgery site got super infected and I was a 'very' sick man for three days. Couldn't stand up for fear of falling down, nausea, horrible pain. I thought I'd died and woke up in hell. :freak:
