Members Squier Fat Telecaster Posted November 28, 2005 Members Posted November 28, 2005 Using a 9V battery until I get a power supply that will work with it. I like the "pop" setting the best. Gets a nice jangly overdrive that is kinda voxy. Adds a unique flavor to the pedalboard: i use the Boss OD-3 for the classic stuff and the Boss MD-2 for heavier distortion. The "blues" setting is good too and the "crunch" setting is where I need to play around with. Has more compression and top end rolloff so it's kinda muffled with treble at noon. Still a work in progress but I think it will be a keeper for now.
Members dennis138 Posted November 28, 2005 Members Posted November 28, 2005 I was playing around with the pop setting the other night. That seems to be my favorite setting too.
Members Acid Test Posted November 28, 2005 Members Posted November 28, 2005 I just got rid of one for the second time.
Members Squier Fat Telecaster Posted November 29, 2005 Author Members Posted November 29, 2005 Playing around with crunch and it can get a jtm45-ish sound at low gain settings. Goes into the plexi and possible jcm-ish on higher gain.
Members ghastlyone Posted November 30, 2005 Members Posted November 30, 2005 I just bought this pedal last night for $65 used and I'm super pleased with it's tone. The sound samples on line 6's site don't do it justice. as said, the "Pop" setting is amazing for some Vox-ish flavor. So I'm running digital overdrive modeling into a 40 year old tube head... what I'm hearing makes me not feel too guilty about it
Members fractal Posted November 30, 2005 Members Posted November 30, 2005 Did you get the Space Chorus too from that sale? My two are slated to arrive today, but who knows - it isn't updated on the FedEx website yet. Thanks again for the tip...
