ok, a few questions, or maybe just one:

i run 5 miles a day on avg., and do some moderate weight lifting 4-7 days a week.

i watch what i eat, but for some time i've wondered how to calculate caloric intakes & stuff.

i'm 23yrs old, 6'2" and 170lbs.

i want to figure out about how many calories i burn every day (without exercise), and how many calories are my limit.

i figure i burn 400-600 calories a day with exercise, running a mile is approx. 150 so i hear.

can anyone give me some insight as to how all this works ?

---

p.s. - does Gola make good running shoes?

the 'race runner' models look pretty tight and don't like the futuristic turd look of Nikes, Reeboks,NBs, etc

Add up your caloric intake for a week or so. Average it out to the amount per day. Check your weight. If it's the same as when you started, that's how many calories you burn a day. If you weight goes up or down, adjust the amount of intake and try again.
