Members Ben Fulton Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 Hey there Rock and Rollers......Sorry for the slight delay. These clips were recorded with a Shure beta58 microphone into Logic Platinum Audio and converted into Mp3s with Wavelab. No extra EQ, reverb or knick knackery. Better quality clips will be forth coming. A Les Paul fitted with Humbuckers is plugged into the FUZZ GOD and then into a Tweed Fender Twin. Much noodling ensues FUZZ GOD Stock fuzz sounds FUZZ GOD SPUTTER FUZZ GOD sub octave + synthy sounds FUZZ GOD Parasitic sustain You got 'em here first:) Ben
Members gappie Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 some very interesting sounds. especially the synth/suboctave nice.
Members ollenorin Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 cool, is it a germanium or silicon fuzz ? can you get big muff -type sounds out of it ?
Members Ben Fulton Posted December 13, 2005 Author Members Posted December 13, 2005 100% Germanium. More info here; www.redwitchanalogpedals.com/FuzzGod.html Ahhh, shameless spamming. One of lifes guilty little pleasures. I'm not sure about Big Muff sounds, believe it or not - I've never tried one!
Members ollenorin Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 i love chrome.... one question: i have fairly bright amps and so far ive had problems with germanium fuzzes, like the keeley fuzzhead and analogman sunface cause it got tooo bright, icepicky.....there is no toneknob on the fuzz god....so therefore my question is: what kind of amps does it suit best ?
Members stereotypy Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 i also wondered about the tone knob.
Members Ben Fulton Posted December 13, 2005 Author Members Posted December 13, 2005 Good question...... The Fuzz God has a rounder frequency response than most Fuzz pedals for this very reason. Some of the tops are rolled of until you get to the last 20% of rotation (4 o'clock to 5:30) - then the sizzle returns .Things are incredibly loud at this point anyway - it has a massive boost ; fuzz + cooking input stage tubes........mmmmmmmm:love: Also the tops roll off when you edge the fuzz control back. The clips aren't particularly representative of this - I'll get some better ones up before Christmas. Hope this helps. Cheers, Ben
Members SoulSerenade Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 Hey Ben, Any way of getting one of those knobs (volume?) to shut off the battery supply (when turned completely counterclockwise) for those of us who would like to give it a permanant home on a pedalboard? Very nice clips btw...
Members nosferatu123 Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 Sounds like a bastard child of a Fuzz Factory and a DOD Buzz Box...
Members turtleheadblues Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 Very nice sounding box. Looks great also. The synth stuff sounds alot like the Lovepedal Jacko.

Members Ben Fulton Posted December 13, 2005 Author Members Posted December 13, 2005 I posted a little while ago that i was running a test to see just how long a battery will last in the unit. Depending on the results I might look at adding a switch next year.
Members voerking Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 killer clips. have they started shipping yet?
Members Ben Fulton Posted December 13, 2005 Author Members Posted December 13, 2005 thank you:) Yes they have.
Members voerking Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 good! i can't wait for mine to come from tonefactor.
Members 1DZReverendDavidLee Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 Originally posted by voerking good! i can't wait for mine to come from tonefactor. Same here!
Members ollenorin Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 can you get wall of sound, big muff style. sounds out of it ? or is "crazy" and "intense" just the octave thing ? im not too keen on octaves, more wall of sound type fuzz.
Members BLUEPRINT Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 Originally posted by ollenorin i have fairly bright amps and so far ive had problems with germanium fuzzes, like the keeley fuzzhead and analogman sunface cause it got tooo bright, icepicky.....there is no toneknob on the fuzz god....so therefore I too have bright amps... One suggestion: Cat's Eyes mista fuzz, not too expensive, excellent IF PLUGGED AFTER a buffered pedal (non true bypass)
Members varialbender Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 Finally. I like it. It has a nice sound separate from the FFactory. I might have to fall onto some money.
Members elctmist Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 Interesting sounds like a boutiquey Buzzbox with a dash of Experience pedal type sound.
Members jippy Posted December 13, 2005 Members Posted December 13, 2005 Great. I chose this month to get a UD Stomp. No more extra cash!
